Hi, I’m Brooke.

I’m so glad you’re here.

We all could use some counseling. Whether we are dealing with anxiety, depression, school difficulties, family conflicts, or peer issues, counseling can help us heal, reflect, and make changes.

About Me

I’ve spent over twenty years working with children, teens, and young adults as a teacher, tutor, and counselor. From Cincinnati to Connecticut, Honduras to New York City, and back to Greater Cincinnati again, my passion is helping young people thrive.

My Approach

More than anything, I’m here to listen, get to know you, reflect, and help you figure out what it is you want in life.

I use an eclectic, person-centered approach to counseling.

I have completed intensive training in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and it is one of my favorite philosophies.

I am also a Certified ADHD Clinical Services Provider; I’ve run ADHD parent support groups and worked with schools to initiate accommodations. I spend a lot of time working with clients to improve executive function skills and helping their families gain a better understanding of how their mind works.

I integrate elements of play therapy into my practice. I’m a big fan of crafts and fiber art, which can make it much easier to talk about the hard stuff!

I also utilize bibliotherapy often, for both parents and clients, either to expand our understanding or see ourselves reflected in books.

I incorporate mindfulness techniques into sessions and provide psychoeducation (I am a former teacher, after all). I love learning and sharing how our brain plays a part in our emotional regulation.
